Series Finale - Hellcats - "I'm Sick Y'all"

There comes a sad day in every TV series life, when their last episode airs. Now you would hope that this would be after multiple seasons, and many episodes. But unfortunaly this isn't always the case, some are cancelled by their network, and CW's "Hellcats" (Aly Michalka, Ashley Tisdale, Robbie Jones, Heather Hemmens, Matt Barr, Gail O'Grady and Sharon Leal.) was a recent victim. After just one season the cheerleading series aired its last episode, on Tuesday last week.

"I'm Sick Y'all" was the season finale, which was about the Hellcats finally making it to nationals to peform. The team found many difficulties along the way, with firstly many teammates falling sick with strep throat, cutting the teams numbers down to twently (they need a minium of eighteen to peform.) Secondly Savannah's sister Charotte goes into labor, so she rushes to the hospital to be with her sister, while another cheerleader falls and breaks her arm. Next Cathy (a cheerleader from the Hellcats rival squad) in order to get back at Lewis, tricks him, and locks him in a bathroom so he can't peform, taking the numbers below the minium to seventeen.

Even though Lewis escapes and manages to make it just in time to peform, the contest orginisers discover the teams earlier illness and test each member, unfortunally three fail. The team is forced to forfit and loose, while their rival squad wins.

Throughout the drama, Charlotte has a healthy baby boy, Marti connects with her sister, and then looses her in the end when she discovers her father didn't abandon her sister, and that she was being lied to, Alice's father takes an interest in her and her cheerleading, and doesn't care that she lost, the Hellcats make a performance, joined by other losing squads, and enjoy themselves, Savannah steps down as captain, giving the position to Alice, and finally Vanessa looses her job.

The show, like a lot of cancelled show, left alot of un answered questions, will Vanessa be able to save her job? And will Marti reconnect with her sister? For fans all around it is the end of a great show, once where the story will never be finished (except for in fan fiction, and the minds of fans). The show ended with Marti riding her bike, upset about her sister, into the distance.

Episode Review: The Vampire Diaries - As I Lay Dying

WARNING: This review contains SPOILERS
The Vampire Diaries season 2 came to a close this thursday, with its season finale 'As I Lay Dying'. The episode contained the final answers to questions shown earlier in the season. When would Sheriff Forbes confront her daughter Caroline about being a vampire? How would she react? Would Damon survive his werewolf bite? What was to happen with the love triangle between him, Elena and Stefan? How would Elena, Jeremy and Alaric cope with the loss of Jenna? Will Katherine escape? And what of Klaus and Elijah? Well answers too those questions finally came.
For Caroline and Sheriff Forbes their encounter came towards the end of the episode, when Sherif Forbes, who was attemting to kill Damon acidently shot Jeremy. Sheriff Forbes finally began to understand her daughter, and that vampires aren't what she was brought up to believe. Witnessing her daughter trying to save Jeremy, and learning about how her daughter felt, the two finished their part in the episode in a hug.
For Damon and his werewolf bite, the end seemed clear. But for fans, they knew that there would be a way he could be saved, and they were right. A well know Vampire Diaries fact, is that a vampire blood can heal a human, however it doesn't work the same way for vampires. But Klaus being a mix of an original vampire and part human, his blood is different. By giving himself to Klaus, Stefan was able to save Damon, but at a price. He now has became a "wing-man" for Klaus. Which is definintly something we will see more of next season.
The biggest part of the show will always be the Elena, Damon and Stefan love triangle, and for Elena and Damon fans the season finally had some major moments for them, including a kiss, once Elena initiated. While caring for Damon, when all hope seemed lossed, a moment sure to be used in many fan videos happened. Damon amitted his love for Elena, and although she did not say i love you back, she responed with a kiss shortly after. "I know you love Stefan, and that it will aways be Stefan, but i love you, you should know that"
"I do"
And while all this, Stefan was doing whatever possible to save his brother. Next season, will definintly be interesting, as Stefan won't be around. Will anything further happen between the two?
The loss of Jenna in the previous episode was hard or Alaric, Elena and Jeremy, who have all suffered loss already in their lives. Elena and Jeremy have once again lossed a parent. Now they want to be normal, and try to move on with their lives. But as they have already learned, it will take time to recover. Alaric, has once again lossed someone he loved, its different that with Isobel, who became a vampire, before finally dying, but still he has shown not to have very much luck with women. He drinks, trying to forget, but is forced back into reality when trying to save Damon.
As for Katherine, she finally had a chance to escape, when Klaus told her to bring the blood to Damon, and as she was on vervain she was able to leave and not return. She then repaid Damon by rather than running and not returning like she would have in the past, and brought the blood to him.
"You got free?"
"Yep, finally"
"And you still came here?"
"I owed you one"

And finally for Klaus and Elijah, who escaped in the previous episode. Klaus reunited Elijah with the rest of their family, by betraying him, by stabbing and killing him. Now Klaus, a hybrid, both vampire and werewolf is free, and invisible. He forced Stefan into drinking bags of blood, trying to bring out the old Stefan, to become his wing-man. Stefan has seemed to be back to his old ways, as he can't control himself with human blood. He is like a drug addict, who has recently slipped and fallen back with the drugs.
The next season will be full of new questions, and eventully new answers. Each episode is sure to be as, or more amazing than the ones of season two. What will happen to Klaus and Stefan? Will Elena and Damon become more than friends? What will happen with Jeremy, who in the last moments of the episode saw both Vicki and Anna? Will Caroline and her mother say close? Even answering big questions the season finale has brought many more exciting questions to the table. What will happen next?

REVIEW: The Walking Dead

AMC's The Walking Dead is a tv series about a world when the dead come back to life; zombies. Based on the graphic novel series of the same name by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore and Charlie Adlard. Now i was instantly excited about this show when i heard of it, simply because of the zombies, because i am a major horror fan, and zombies are one of my favorite horror movie creatures. I love films like 'Dawn of the Dead', 'Resident Evil' and its sequals, as well as horror-comedies, 'Shaun of the Dead' and 'Zombieland'. I was also excited of having zombies in a tv series, rather than in just a movie. After watching the first episode i was in love.

The Walking Dead brought zombies back again, and even though throughout most zombie movies, the zombies themselves don't change much, these zombies still seemed new and fresh. One of the most important factors in a show like this is the characters. Each have to be unique, and interesting, because nobody wants to watch something with characters that are the same, especially when they are faced with a life and death situation, seeing how they react to whats happening around them, loosing people they love and seeing death is incredibly important. The Walking Dead cast has succeeded in all of the above. The cast includes Andrew Lincon (Love Actually & Afterlife), Jon Bernthal (Eastwick & The Class), Sarah Wayne Callies (Prison Break), Laurie Holden (The Shield & Silent Hill), Jeffrey DeMunn & Steven Yeun.

One of the main concepts i find intesting about the show, is that as it still follows the way a typical zombie film works, but then will have an whole extra part. I break a zombie film down to the following parts.

1.We meet the main character, often they will wake up and find the whole world to have changed. We feel connected to them because both the character and the audience are knew to the world and don't understand it yet. In The Walking Dead, this is Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincon) who awakes in hospital after being shot.
2.The main character quickly learns about zombies and the new world. They meet some new people who may explain anything that they don't know yet.
3.The small group they they may have formed grows larger as they meet a larger group of people trying to surive.
4.The calm before the storm. The characters are relaxing, having fun and are quite happy.
5.All hell breaks loose. The zombies arrive, and lots of them. Mass casualties. Some die, some will be turned. From here on its a race for survival
6.They appear to have escaped the zombies, and the film will end, sometimes before, it will show that they aren't safe yet.

Thats were a zombie film usually ends, but as The Walking Dead is a series, after this point it is unknown what will happen next. All of the earlier steps happened in the first season. Will season too be a repeat? or will a way of the zombie world be created. They are some questions i am asking myself. And unfortunatly ill will be asking those questions until October, when season 2 of The Walking Dead is said to return. Will we meet new characters? how will they change? what will happen with some of the already ongoing storylines? I can't wait to find out. How about you? Post your thoughts below.

Criminal Minds

Season 6 of Criminal Minds has been all over the place, episodes that you love and episodes that you hate. Why? because of CBS' decison to cut JJ (A.J Cook) and reduce (Prentiss') Paget Brewster's episodes. From their Agent Ashley Seaver (Rachel Nicholas) joined the cast. The decision was for "creative reasons", but they replaced JJ with a new, young, blonde agent. They already had one, JJ, but they decided to cut her.

Numerous letters and petitions were signed to save JJ and Prentiss by fan all over. Clearly fans don't agree with CBS' decision. Cook filmed her what seemed to be her last episode, Season 6, episode 2 - "JJ". However she returned to Criminal Minds in episode 18 - "Lauren", for Paget Brewster's last episode.

However JJ fans should be pleased at the next return of AJ Cook to Criminal Minds. And this one is permanent. Recently AJ Cook has signed a two year contract back to Criminal Minds.

"JJ's back! Just signed 2 year deal. Excited to work with cast and crew again. Thanks to all of you" Cook tweeted. JJ will return to Criminal Minds on the season 6 finale, and then return for season 7.

Paget Brewster's Criminal Minds future is still uncertain. The actress is working on a new show 'My Life As An Experiment' and if the show is successiful she will continue to work on that. But Criminal Minds producers have an option on her for the show, so she may be returned one day two.

The next worry for Criminal Minds fans is decisions about Morgan (Shemar Moore) and Hotch (Thomas Gibson) have yet to be finalized as both actors haven't signed on for the next season. Deals are currently being made.

Criminal Minds still has an uncertain future. Whats to happen to Rachel Nicholas is still unknown now with Cook returning. But JJ fans can relax that she will be returning.
